Manual Handling Training

A detailed presentation on the foundations of safe manual handling
Group discussions about real-life manual handling scenarios and experiences
Hands-on experience with the use of specialised manual handling equipment (including slide sheets, walk belts, profiling hospital beds, hoists and stand-up lifter).
Assessment of participant’s competency during a practical component
Facilitated learning in small interactive groups
A certificate will be issued via post and/or email following the training session.

We are a registered allied health provider and we have been providing multidisciplinary allied health services to aged care clients and NDIS participants in the community since 2013.
Our Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists have AHPRA registration. Our therapists have extensive experience in a range of manual handling scenarios and the practical use of a wide range of equipment, to promote safe manual handling training techniques. Our clinicians are skilled in providing manual handling training using theoretical and practical components.

2 hours (with a 10-minute break)
For every 6 participants, there will be one experienced therapist (either an Occupational Therapist or a Physiotherapist). Maximum of 12 per group.
Training can take place at our Petersham clinic or at your facility

To secure your training, we require a 30% deposit 2 weeks prior to your nominated training date.
You must ensure your training facility has available and working audio & visual devices for educator use.
Access to the training venue must be level and appropriate for the safe delivery of large and heavy manual handling equipment.
Hire and delivery of equipment used at your training site will be an additional cost.
