Super Rehab’s Manual Handling Training is designed to equip community care workers and family carers with the practical skills and knowledge required to perform manual handling tasks safely and confidently.
The training focuses on recognising risks, assessing environments, and applying safe handling techniques when assisting clients with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and daily care activities. Through practical demonstrations and real-world scenarios, participants learn how to protect both themselves and the people they support.
Whether you are a care organisation looking to upskill your workforce, or a family carer wanting to support a loved one more safely at home, our training is designed to be practical, engaging, and applicable.
What’s covered in the training
- Interactive Presentation — Foundations of safe manual handling, injury prevention, and best practice principles
- Real-Life Scenario Discussions — Group discussions tailored to real-life challenges in home care and disability support
- Hands-On Practice with Equipment — Practical experience using slide sheets, walk belts, profiling beds, hoists, and stand-up lifters
- Competency Assessment — Each participant completes a practical assessment to ensure they meet competency standards
- Small Group Learning — Sessions are capped at a maximum of 12 participants for quality learning and interaction
- Certificate of Completion — Issued via post and/or email after the session

Before you book
- !A 30% deposit is required two weeks prior to your training date to confirm your booking.
- !If training is held at your facility, equipment hire and delivery will incur an additional fee.
- !Your facility must have functional audio/visual equipment available for our facilitator to use.
- !Your facility must have level access and suitable space for large manual handling equipment.
