Speech Pathologist

Work Duties
- Provide Speech Pathology assessment, diagnosis, intervention and client-centred care planning and timely follow-up to support clients to improve or maintain their health and wellbeing.
- Design, select and develop augmentative and alternative communication systems, programs and resources for clients with communication needs based upon speech pathology assessment.
- Manage a varied caseload, supporting adults and seniors with complex communication needs and dysphagia.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with the multidisciplinary team including active participation in team meetings, case conferences, clinical handover and education to achieve seamless consumer outcomes.
- Completing accurate documentation and reports in a timely manner.
- Actively update the team and service referral providers about the clients' progress and outcome.
- Support and participate in link with Super Rehab’s instructions, policies and procedures relating to work health safety and wellbeing. Report any risks or incidents of unsafe work practices in the incident register and report to Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
- Recent graduates and experienced clinicians all welcome to apply!
- AHPRA Registration
- NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) or willing to apply for one
- Professional indemnity and liability insurance
- Current Drivers License
- Demonstrated understanding of the complex needs of elderly clients, and adults with physical disabilities or neurological conditions
- Previous home-based Speech Pathology experience - Desirable but not essential
- NDIS knowledge - Desirable but not essential - we will train you!
